We are looking for backpackers for picking and packing vegetables, for farmers and contractors. At the moment it is onions and tomatoes, and other seasons will be starting in a few weeks time. We are located in the Toowoomba region.
There is around 3-4 months work available - all work is eligible for your 2nd year visa. All we ask is you stay in the position for a minimum of 2 weeks. The work is HARD and takes a few weeks to excel in.
The first few weeks is paid by contract rates (paid by how many bins or buckets you pick/pack) so the harder you work the more money you will make. After a 3-4 week period of contract work, there are hourly rate jobs available for people with the right attitude ($21.60 per hour before tax). Also, if you stay with one contractor, you will get 7 visa days signed for just working 5 days.
