Practice Manager – Part Time or Full Time

We are seeking a new Practice Manager to join our client’s friendly team at their veterinary practice in Chinchilla.

This role reports to the Owners.

Our client, Chinchilla Vet Services, is a mixed practice servicing the Chinchilla district and surrounding areas. This includes Miles, Dulacca, Auburn, Tara, The Gums and Condamine. Offering their clients, a range of services from vaccinations and health checks, ultrasound, radiology, orthopedics and after-hours services, through to cattle pregnancy diagnosis and livestock advice, equine dentistry and reproductive services, this is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in being a part of their journey.

Position Details:

  • Up to 38 hours per week, permanent full time or permanent part time hours to be negotiated with the successful candidate
  • Monday to Friday – some weekend work may be required, will depend on successful candidate qualifications
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a genuine desire to lead and inspire the team, business/commercial acumen and importantly, previous experience in a management role
  • This role will suit candidates who have strong interpersonal skills; someone who is commercially savvy, has an interest or experience in veterinary/medical sectors and enjoys compliance, policies and procedures!

Your New Role’s Accountabilities:
  • Overall responsibility for client satisfaction
  • Co-ordination of day-to-day clinic operations including some administrative tasks such as nurse rostering, inventory control, social media marketing assistance, monitoring KPIs, human resource management
  • Provision of training and ensuring staff maintain up to date required training
  • Creation and implementation of marketing tools within veterinary software Ezyvet, assist with social media marketing
  • Manage facilities and equipment and ensure maintenance is carried out as required
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Xero Accounting Software skills and Ezyvet experience are desirable
  • IT troubleshooting confidence/experience while not essential will be well regarded
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Certificate IV Bookkeeping or Diploma of Accounting
  • Certificate IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills are critical to your success
